Once upon a time, in a green valley filled with flowers, tall grass, and singing birds, there lived three little pigs. They were brothers, and though they loved each other very much, each pig had a very different personality.
Their mother was wise and kind. One sunny morning, she called her sons and said,
“My dear pigs, you are growing up now. It’s time for you to build your own homes and learn how to live safely in the big world.”
The three little pigs hugged their mother, packed their small bags, and set off on their journey with excitement in their hearts.
The First Little Pig and the Straw House
The first little pig loved fun more than anything else. He liked to dance, sing, and play all day long. As he walked down the road, he met a farmer carrying a bundle of straw.
“Hello!” said the pig cheerfully. “That straw looks perfect. May I have some to build my house?”
The farmer smiled and gave him the straw.
The pig quickly built a small house made of straw. It was light, yellow, and cozy.
“Done already!” the pig laughed. “Now I can play all day!”
He danced around his house and felt very proud, even though the walls were thin and the roof was soft.
The Second Little Pig and the Stick House
The second little pig was a bit more thoughtful but still loved comfort and speed. As he walked, he met a woodcutter carrying a bundle of sticks.
“Good day,” said the pig. “May I have some sticks to build my house?”
The woodcutter agreed and handed them over.
The pig built a house made of sticks. It looked stronger than straw and stood nicely beside a tree.
“This will do,” he said. “It’s strong enough, and I didn’t have to work too hard.”
He sat inside, relaxed, and enjoyed the shade and breeze.
The Third Little Pig and the Brick House
The third little pig was the wisest of the three. He believed that good work took time and care. As he walked, he met a builder carrying bricks.
“Please,” said the pig politely, “may I have some bricks? I want to build a strong house.”
The builder nodded and gave him the bricks.
The pig worked for many days. He laid each brick carefully, mixed mortar, and checked every wall. His house was solid, warm, and strong, with a firm door and a sturdy chimney.
“It took longer,” he said, wiping his brow, “but now I feel safe.”
The Wolf Appears
Not far away lived a hungry wolf. He had sharp eyes, a long tail, and a very loud growl. One day, he smelled something delicious.
“Little pigs!” the wolf licked his lips. “What a tasty meal.”
He followed the scent until he reached the straw house.
“Little Pig, Little Pig…”
The wolf knocked on the door and called out,
“Little pig, little pig, let me come in!”
The first pig peeked out and replied bravely,
“No, no, no! Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!”
The wolf growled,
“Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!”
And he did.
With one big breath, the straw house flew apart like feathers in the wind. The pig squealed and ran as fast as he could to his brother’s stick house.
Trouble at the Stick House
The wolf soon arrived at the stick house.
“Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!”
The pigs shouted together,
“No, no, no! Not by the hair on our chinny chin chin!”
The wolf took a deep breath.
“I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!”
The stick house shook and then crashed to the ground. The pigs screamed and ran quickly to the brick house.
Safety in the Brick House
The wolf followed and stood in front of the brick house. He knocked loudly.
“Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!”
The pigs replied calmly,
“No, no, no! Not by the hair on our chinny chin chin!”
The wolf puffed and huffed with all his might. He blew and blew, but the brick house did not move an inch.
The wolf was tired and angry.
“This house is too strong!” he snarled.
The Wolf’s Clever but Failed Plan
The wolf thought hard and climbed onto the roof.
“I’ll go down the chimney,” he said slyly.
But the third pig was clever. He quickly lit a fire under a pot of hot water in the fireplace.
Down the chimney the wolf slid…
SPLASH!
He jumped right into the hot water, yelped loudly, and ran away as fast as his legs could carry him.
A Happy Ending
The three little pigs hugged each other.
“We’re safe!” they cheered.
The first pig said, “I should have worked harder.”
The second pig nodded, “Strong choices matter.”
The third pig smiled, “Patience and effort keep us safe.”
From that day on, the pigs lived happily together in the brick house, helping each other and working wisely.
And the wolf? He never bothered them again.
